Rep. Tom Tiffany, R-Wis., told Newsmax on Thursday that “DEI is dead with the Trump administration.”
On the first week into his second term, President Donald Trump dismissed Adm. Linda Lee Fagan, former commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard, over concerns about her fixation on DEI issues and the border. Tiffany said, “discriminate, exclude, indoctrinate. It’s dead.”
“DEI is dead with the Trump administration now. And it’s about time that it went away. We saw all these political appointees by the Biden administration. They were ‘check the box’ appointees. They were not merit-based. And that is going to go away now. We’re going to have the best and brightest in these positions of such great importance across the federal government now,” Tiffany said during an appearance on “National Report.”
