A majority of Democrat voters say they approve of how Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., handled the spending agreement with Republicans, according to Rasmussen Reports.
Schumer recently helped pass a GOP-led spending bill that averted a government shutdown. The move upset many progressives and liberal lawmakers.
Schumer said Sunday, “I’m not stepping down,” amid calls by some Democrats for him to be replaced by a leader who will fight more forcefully against President Donald Trump and his policies.
