The campaign to elect Vice President Kamala Harris said fundraising exceeded $300 million in August, NBC News reported Thursday.
The Harris campaign last week reported that it had raised $540 million since she replaced President Joe Biden in July as the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee. Thursday’s announcement is significant in that it notes that the majority of that figure has come in the one full month since Harris announced her candidacy and has shown no signs of slowing.
The $300 million haul is more than twice the amount raised by former President Donald Trump during the same time.
