President Joe Biden greeted President-elect Donald Trump at the White House on Monday by saying, “welcome home.”
Biden and first lady Jill Biden met Trump and his wife, Melania, at the mansion’s entrance before they enjoyed pre-inauguration tea, a tradition during the transfer.
Afterward, Biden and Trump departed from the White House together to head to the Capitol for the inauguration.
