Ric Grenell, former acting Director of National Intelligence in the Trump administration, told Newsmax on Tuesday night the bias shown by ABC News’ moderators against Donald Trump in his debate with Vice President Kamala Harris was a gift for the former president.
Moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis often fact-checked Trump on his answers while letting Harris get away with misstatements made against the former president.
“Millions of people are watching tonight for the first time,” Grenell told hosts Greg Kelly and Mercedes Schlapp as part of Newsmax’s post-debate coverage. “What the ABC moderators just did is completely prove to these millions of people that the media are out to get Donald Trump. We couldn’t have scripted this better. Both moderators were so over the top attacking Trump and not attacking [Harris].
